WHAT WE LOVE
It is common to associate the idea of “a great cup of coffee” with Colombia. The growing region is able to export coffee year-round and is the second largest exporter of coffee in the world. Who has never encountered Juan Valdez, or 100% Colombian Coffee, in the grocery store?
The El Tiple Supremo is emblematic of Specialty Coffee from the Huila Region. “Supremo” refers to the size of the Arabica seeds. From a quality standpoint, these are the largest and most uniformly sized Colombian coffee beans. Cultivated high in the Andes mountains, amidst rich volcanic soils and delicate micro-climates, the flavor profile is a favorite amongst coffee lovers: crisp acidity, layers of sweetness, with full bodied and aromatic flavor.
Specific to this coffee, we are getting notes of: dark chocolate, caramel apple, and roasted almond.
